Am I the only one who things the palm muted tone (Read: Welcome to the Family) is really really weird, and production quality seems a tad bit lower the older albums? And more double bass. Alot more. And that you can clearly tell the Rev's vocals are a demo (Read, the mumbling singing at the end)

Thats all I got for criticism.

Heh, the reason the Rev's vocals sound like that are because he died because he had a chance to record them for real. I think we can forgive them for that. :)

Nahh, i think the Rev sang it like that anyway. Listen to Pinkly Smooth. His vocals are as weird as his songs. Which is definitely NOT a bad thing. I love it, also the band say that the Rev would always do things to perfection (in his mind) so I reckon that was how it was meant to be sang.

That opening melody in Fiction just goes through my soul O_o

I saw on Wikipedia that there is an iTunes pre-order bonus track named Lost it All.

Downloaded it from TPB and it sounds good.

Just got the Nightmare demo. It's really cool to hear the last thing Jimmy ever played on drums. I'm really glad they put it out. Plus I love demos anyway.

Yo SynGates, go on iTunes and buy the bonus song.

I bought the real album, then bought the bonus track. I like having the physical disc, also the lyric booklet is awesome :D

I can't get the Nightmare Demo, would you send it me Leib, Zacky V said that he realises that not everyone will get the Book of Nightmares, so he said we should share the demo.

Is it on tpb? i cba looking xD

Yeah, tabs will come quickly, but nobody is that good, give it a week or two. I like the whole album, but ofcourse I have favorites: Nightmare, Welcome to the Family, Danger Line, Buried Alive, Natural Born Killer, So Far Away, God Hates Us, Victim, Tonight the World Dies, Fiction, and save me.

A different topic: Avenged Sevenfold is making a comeback. Well, it's not like they ever weren't popular, but they're going to become a household name again. They have supporters in every place, guitar center, MTV, Call of duty, etc. and every kind of person, gamer, skater, musician, everybody is gonna know. So great for the guys, and great for us too, the ever growing fanbase should help them get back up on their feet. What do you guys think?

I will buy the album as soon as it hits stores here. I dont use iTunes and dont have a iTunes store account. I guess they will have to forgive me for that one download. I have all of their cds except for Diamonds in the Rough.

After listening to save me a few times, I decided to invest in a better sound system so i can listen to it in its full glory. Such an amazing song, I'm speechless.

Sweet. Get the best sound you can when you listen, and listen fairly loud. You will appreciate it so much more.

I get such an Arch Enemy vibe from the distorted intro riff in God Hates Us.

Stick some proper headphones on, the experience is soo much better imo. When i got home after buying the album, i put it into my pc then stuck my headphones in then laid on my bed, eyes closed and listened to the album. You hear everything clearer, and coz its stereo and all the parts are weaving around your head its soo fun to listen to :D

Oh and btw the Nightmare Demo is streaming on deathbatnews.com :)

If you listen to it carefully, after Shadows says stuff like 'Fight' you hear another person say it after, we believe it is Jimmy :D

My fave songs are Danger Line, Buried Alive, Natural Born Killer and Save Me. Fiction is also great but musically not as good as the others i've mentioned. Fiction doesnt have as much going on. Just piano, thats not bad ofc but not as good as other songs imo.

The nightmare demo is pretty sick, just downloaded it. Also, I agree with jibib. I love just listening to my ipod/pc with earbuds on a decent volume, you get completely swept up in the music, and time flies. I'm seriously considering getting some monster earbuds, probably the turbines. Has anybody used these, or any other monster earbuds? Worth the price?
