    Mult-effects pedal advice

Hi, I need a new pedal and was thinking of a Boss GT10 or Line 6 HD500 but to be honest I think this is overkill as I wouldn't use their potential and anyway I blew the cash). I did want USB and mike inputs but I have sorted that so no longer need those.

What I now want is something simple to use live, that records and stores my sounds with at least 3 stomp pedals (the more the better) so I can switch sounds quickly during a song.

Cheap options I thought of were Boss ME20, ME25 and ME70. Any opinions, advice or alternatives?

Note: I actually had an ME20 before and sold it because at the time I wasn't using it or playing live.

The ME70 is what I'd say go for. I have the Line 6 POD Floor Plus, but the power cable fucked up pretty quickly. I was wanting to get get the RP300 when I got it too but the local douche bag shop told me they couldn't order it. Anyways depending on how much stuff you want You could go with the Line 6 HD300, the RP1000, the ME70, and mostlikely all would be great and work well for you.

I have a Pod XT Live. Though it is discontinued, you could snag one off for cheap and get awesome results with it.

Check out my covers if you wanna hear some tone samples from the Pod XTL.

Thanks for the advice. The RP1000 looks a beast but are also the pretty rare and expensive here. It doesn't look like I will go wrong with any of those suggested. I'm still keeping an eye on the GT10 as I'm looking to buy 2nd hand. The XT/ME70 look bargains at the moment.
I think I will wait a week unless I find a mega-deal on ebay as I'm going to a guitar show next weekend and may get to try some out.

    Re: Mult-effects pedal advice

I went for the ME-70, I found a good deal and it does everything that I want.
I'm travelling for a few days soon so will take it and the guitar with me so that I can learn to use it.
Thanks for all the good advice

    Re: Mult-effects pedal advice

That sounds like what I got, although I'm still exploring. It is easy to work in manual mode (using stomp boxes as labelled) or by using the auto/saved sounds it acts like a stomp box and you can move up and down banks of sounds-quick access to 4 ans pretty quick to about 12 saved options-that's plenty for me.

    Re: Mult-effects pedal advice

I have a Zoom G2.1u (has the expression pedal, USB port, and software). It is a great pedal and very well built. I have used it every day for several years and have no complaints about it. I've used the Digitech RP pedals and would consider them a step down and not well built (cheap plastic body).
