C-1 XXX pups---Revisited

So after I did some research today about the pups in my C-1 XXX and found some good info...

Bridge Pup---Duncan Designed HB 102B, basically a version of the SH-4 JB
Neck Pup---Duncan Designed HB102N, basically a version of the SH-2 Jazz

I do like the pups but I want to put a set of real deal Seymour Duncan pups in it. So I'm going to put the SH-4 JB in the bridge and the SH-1N '59 bridge. I'm also going to go with the reversed zebra color. I think the cream color of the pups will look good with the cream colored binding around the C-1 XXX. So since the guitar already have a tone pot that coil taps and 2 volume, I was thinking I would set it up like my Hellraiser Solo-6. So I would have 2 volume pots that will coil tap it's own pup and just a regular tone pot. I will be using this guitar mostly for hard rock and clean tone stuff.

I think the only difference is going to be the name on the pups.

I'm sure that will make a difference. You should compare the HB 102B with the SH-4 JB

That is a pretty good idea. I'm thinking of doing some recordings with different distortions, choruses, flanger, etc... Then I'll compare the tones and give the forum my thoughts.

Then I must say I fucking love the cleans on the Jazz.

What I wish I could do is get a few of their pups and try some different combos and see what I like.
