I've read mixed reviews about Bugera...
I'm trying to figure out which one of these I'll like better. They have like a $50 difference in price the Bugera is $799 and the Blackstar is $849
Here is the Bugera page for the trirec:
http://www.bugera-amps.com/EN/produc...-INFINIUM.aspx
And for those of you that don't want to read all that
And the TriRec Video Demo:
- Hand-built and hand-wired 100-Watt Class A/B amplifier driven by 4 x 6L6 valves (convertible to EL34)
- Revolutionary INFINIUM Valve Life Multiplier technology: – Extends the life of your amplifier’s expensive power valves up to 20 times. – Provides incredible reliability and consistent tone over the complete lifespan of your valves – No need for expensive matched valve sets – Allows you to mix and match any combination of compatible valve types and brands – Monitors performance of each power tube continuously and displays defective valves to allow for easy and individual replacement
- 3 fully independent channels with switchable killer voicings (Classic, Vintage and Modern) featuring 5 x 12AX7 valves
- 3 unique rectifier modes featuring 2 x 5U4 valves and silicon diodes for ultimate performance
- Integrated high-class reverb with dedicated Reverb control
- VARIPOWER control allows the maximum power to be seamlessly scaled down to produce a cranked amp sound at much lower volumes
- Dedicated Gain, Bass, Mid, Treble, Presence and Volume controls per channel for awesome sound shaping
- Adjustable and remote controllable Boost function for ultimate punch when playing leads
- Heavy-duty 6-button footswitch for channel selection, Boost, Reverb and FX Loop function included--doubles as MIDI IN / THRU for complete MIDI remote switching
- Manual or auto-assignable FX Loop with independent Send and Return level controls
- External Switching connectors for remote control of channel selection, Boost, Reverb and FX Loop
- Line output with dedicated Level control
- Multi-impedance output connectors (4, 8 and 16 Ohms) to match virtually any speaker cabinet
- High-quality components and exceptionally rugged construction ensure long life
Now on to the Blackstar:
http://www.blackstaramps.co.uk/produ...s/ht-100h.html
And the Blackstar Video:
- 100 Watt valve combo
- 2xECC83, 1xECC82, 4xEL34
- Three footswitchable channels
- Enhanced tone controls
- Patented Infinite Shape Feature (ISF)
- Clean voice switch
- Overdrive 1 voice switch
- Overdrive 2 voice switch
- Presence
- Resonance
- Master volume
- Digital reverb with dark/bright switch
- Speaker emulated output with 1x12/4x12 voicing
- Effects loop with effects level switch
- 4-way footswitch included
- Cool vintage styling
I'm not sure which one to go for. I like them both and the Bugera even though is a bit cheaper has a few cool features like a LED light to tell you if the tubes are bad, Self Basising tubes. So..yeah which should I get? lol
They both can be used with 4ohms, 8ohms, and 16ohm cabs, Both have 3 channels.

I've heard mix feelings about it too. But that model is the newest model I believe. and is made to Be the "Working mans Triple Rec" I guess lol. I also just realized that the HT100 shares a EQ section with two of its channels where the TriRec has one for each channel

I'd definitely go with the Bugera. I can't believe that's only $800. I might actually buy one if I ever start a band.
If you really like the Blackstar though, I know you can buy the HT-50 with a 4x12 cab for $999 online. It's not 100w, and it's not their really nice 4x12, but that's a pretty good deal for an all tube Blackstar head and a cab.

Not till November. And I agree with separate EQ controls. I think it'd be easier to manage that way.
If I had to pick, I'd go with the Bugera. The other Blackstar was just a suggestion. Get a Bogner Uberkab to go with it. It's a badass cab, plus you'll be able to say you spent more on the cab than you did on the amp
I just reread the page on Bugera's site, and I think I'm sold. I'm going to seriously consider this one for when I eventually go to upgrade amps. Varipower 1-100 watts? That's awesome. I'd really like to see someone get good distorted tones at "3:00am apartment" volume levels like the website says.
Amp + features + accessibility + good cost + BR00TZ = Wow.
