XLR Computer Interface

Lately ive really been craving doing to Recording work. Unfortunately my Mixing Console isn't an interface. What do you use and Recommend. Im running Win7 and Linux, and i just need like 1 or 2 XLR imputs. It can be Firewire or USB, because i think i can come up with a PCI firewire card.

Do they make such a thing as the Interface is in the Form of a 5.25" or 3.5" drive for the computer, and you just hook it up via Sata(or even IDE or SCSI)? Because i would much rather have that.

After i posted that, i went and researched it more. I just decided id get one of those Pre-Sonus 2 Input deals. Find one on Ebay or Craigslist, and get it for $70-$100 hopefully. My buddy's got one and i used it, and it should do everything i need.

Im not quite ready to buy yet, but what is it?

And the first thing i want to do is post my bands cover of Dear God. Right now there is a couple of HD videos of Good Riddence and Sweet Child on YouTube, but they really arnt great..

I have a lexicon i-onix u82s for sale, 8xlr inputs with phantom power, and 2 inst. inputs. Tons of other crap too.
