Jeez. What did you do to them?
I think I fried my EMG 81/85, lol. Does anyone know how to check to see if they are still good? I want to make sure before I order news ones....FML.

I swapped the pup positions and then they made a loud ass noise then went quiet. I changed them back and put a new battery in and the are quiet still. I may have had plugged them in wrong or something. This sucks, lol!!!!!Originally Posted by Spider287

Get a meter and check if they have continuity. If they dont, you fucked them up.

I'm going to take them in to work with me and use the multimeter there. I'll make sure I annotate my findings. I'm pretty sure I fried the shit out of them, lol. I really don't feel like pulling pups out of another guitar.

I don't see how you could fry them....they use the same exact connector right?
I forget what it was, 3 or 4 wires?
Why would reversing them, something that tons of people do effect it?
