I'm just saving up for that Bogner half stack that I really want. I might have paid $500 for the whole thing. You should get a Line 6 Spider IV, Peavy Vypyr or a Fender amp and add pedals later. Don't buy anything under 30 Watts!!!!
bwahahaha. i'm not crazy after all!

I would recomend the Fender over the others, for the simple fact that it is tubed. the finest solid state amp still can't *quite* do what a tube amp can. it can get close.... but ya gotta have the tubes!

+1 on staying above 30 watts. you can always dial it down, but you can't add what you don't have

The Peavey Valveking 2x12 was a good starter tube amp for me. If you switch out the preamp tube V2, you can have some pretty killer overdrive that can reach into distortion with a OD boost.

Your just going to have to go to a few different music stores and try as many amps as you can. Make sure you bring YOUR guitar to try in the different amp. Good luck to you sir!!!!!!!
