    Marshall Amp Help

Hey guys, just registered. Anyways I wanted to ask the Schecter community's opinion on what Marshall amp I should get. I heard to stay away from the MS series. At the current time, I only have a crappy Suzuki PG-10 amp that came in a beginner guitar set I bought 2 years ago. I'm getting a Schecter HellRaiser C-1 FR soon and I feel, wait, I know I need an amp that can do justice to such a guitar. Anyway, what I'm looking for in an amp is versatility and preferably something not too pricey or too large in size/portability. Hope you guys can help. Cheers bros.

Dude, give us a price range! Marshall's are pricey. You probably better off with a Line 6 combo amp.

Hmm, I dunno. Are there any good Marshalls for around 600 USD?

    Re: Marshall Amp Help

Stay away from marshall. For $600 you can get a really nice amp of another brand. I recommend either the line 6 spider if you are into effects and such, or for just a loud kickass amp go with the peavey bandit if you are fine with solid state or the valveking and a distortion pedal if you prefer tube.

Peavey Vypyr (best one you can afford)
Peavey Bandit if you wanna crank the dial to 100% and scare your neighborhood away with a great rock tone

Oh I see, I thinking of getting the Peavey Vypyr 15. Would that be a good amp?

If you have the money buy a 30w version.
It has a more full sound, and won't sound so tinny.
Plus you get stompboxes which the 15w doesn't have.

The vypyr is able to achieve MANY good tones and I love mine, and don't plan on replacing it for a long time.

If you really got money then go for the 75w version which has 2 speakers and direct out for recording.

    Stay away from the 15w!

You can get a used SpiderValve MKII 112 for $600ish, or you can definitely find a MKI for under that. They're great amps. All the modeling of Line 6 plus some great tone from the tubes and speaker. It can also be played at very low volume without sounding like shit, which has been great for playing in my room.

Also take a look at Blackstar and Bugera, which both make great all tube amps for good prices. They might be a little loud though

    Bugera TriRec
    Agile Septor Elite 727

    Re: Marshall Amp Help

I agree with The Undecided One!!!!! I bought a Fender Frontman 212R (100 watts/2-12 inch speakers) and a Digitech RP1000. I have a wide range of tones to create. I'm just saving up for that Bogner half stack that I really want. I might have paid $500 for the whole thing. You should get a Line 6 Spider IV, Peavy Vypyr or a Fender amp and add pedals later. Don't buy anything under 30 Watts!!!!
