Well, you could sell me the the guitar and I'll fix it then I'd rock the hell out of it.Seriously though, there could be some debris on your selector switch. I would use some of that compressed air in a can (Endust or something like that????) and blow (I said blow, lol) the cavity of the guitar out. There could be some corrosion on the switch and you may have to use a wire brush to clean it. You could always replace the switch. Or the person before you may have rewired the guitar and fuckered it all up. Schecter has diagrams on there website for the C-1. Just use that and trace the wires to ensured it's wired right. If you don't want to do any of that I'll give you $250 for it.
As far as the pups I would use the Seymour Duncan JB/59 combo or you could use the Invaders. If you are going to use active pups you could try their Blackouts. Some guys in the forum have talked about Bar Knuckle pups and from what I read they are pretty awesome.
