    Which x3 pod for recording?

Advice would be much appreciated. I really need to get some of my stuff recorded as its stifling my progress.

I was reading the thread about how to record your music and it mentioned Line 6 pod x3 as a good simple option. I have been looking on ebay and there are about 3 of them. There is the typical red x3, The more substantial X3 live and another.

    Help please!

x3 is kinda outdated. Look at getting a Pod HD pro

cool, all all of them good for recording though as I'll probably just take the cheapest route sticking to Line 6?

Line 6 is good if you're on a low budget. The POD series is amazing, but also consider checking out the TonePort series; it works as an external audio card, and you can develop your own tone on your computer.

I have a Pod XT Live and it has done me well for 4.5 years.

Hmm after much thinking (and little doing), I'm thinking of going the effects pedal route, otherwise I will probably end up wanting a food pedal in about 3 months time. At the moment I have a JM4 looper and boss pedal and neither connects direct to the PC.
Maybe X3 or XT live or HD300. Bearing in mind that I'm a computer nerd on a budget any advice on which?

Hmm more researching suggests the XT live is easier to use. The ultimate guitar forums suggest the HD and Pod 3 versions are great but overcomplicated for computer nerds such as me!

Seeing as you can control it via your computer and do non of the tweaking on the devices themselves, I think you'll manage
Consider getting an x3, they are rather cheap now and a huge improvement over XT series. My 2 cents.

Thanks I'm sorted, I have gone down the software/interface route and with separate multi-effects and looper
