Schecter petition

So lately a popular subject on this forum has been the recent decline in Schecter's quality. Issues such as bad paint jobs, broken FRs, and abysmal fretboards have come up. What seems to be a couple of flukes has turned into a modern trend. I know that some of you have expressed interest in drafting and sending a petition to Schecter regarding its QC issues of late. Who would be willing to help do this? I for one will help with this project.

This petition is not limited to this forum; anybody can sign up for this. I am a regular poster at Rig-Talk and will also be announcing the petition there. I'm open to any suggestions or comments. Now I realize that there probably won't be a groundbreaking development as a result of this action, but I believe that our voices deserve to be heard on this issue.

I'm definitely up for it. I'm sure everyone on this forum will sign, so that's probably 20ish people right there. That doesn't seem like much, but 20 lost sales can be a decent chunk of money in guitars.

Gotta start spamming their Facebook page too. Anyone who's had issues or seen bad QC on Schecters would be asked to sign.

I'm with you.And I think a proper facebook page would be very useful.....so many could join it,also posting some pics to testify that issues are not just our fantasies,but sad truth...


And if schecter see there are at least 500-1000 guys protesting for this problem (= at least 100-150 no-more-customers = arounf 50k $ less),dunno if they could ignore us again and again,with this sort of oil stain spreadin.


The page could work as a "request page" too,to eventually ask schecter to create a certain model ,banning another

Good plan. For the page, we should compile as many recent complaints as we can and post them, then continue to post new ones as they pop up. Gotta have as much evidence as we can.

Hmm, with my marketing head on and as someone who started buying Schecters because of their reliable reputation and renowned actions I wouldn't want to do anything that damaged the company that made the guitars I love the most.
I think a petition from this group would be positive. We would be warning Schecter of a problem and growing customer dissatisfaction. More public action such as a facebook page or widely spread action would probably cause more damage than good.
There will always be problems, what we want is for them to be minimized and for any problems to be resolved quickly and efficiently. If they don't take any notice they really aren't visitor focussed and the outlook will be bleak!

Im in. Like i said, i haven't bought any new Schecters, and my newest is an 08. Id reccommend anything of there older guitars to anybody, but i wouldnt reccommend a new guitar just because of the Horror Stories. Im just in highschool, but ill support this as best as i can.

In my opinion, we should promote Schecter's used guitars, as much as anything. Have that be one of the very first things you see on the Facebook page. Because unless im wrong, we all love the quality they had 3-4 years ago? Just my thought.

I'm in! I'm not about bringing Schecter down. For Christ sake it took me over 18 years to find a great guitar manufacture and Schecter guitars just play and feel right. I don't want them to tank whatsoever, I just want them to pay closer attention to what is rolling out of their factory.

1983-1987 schecter "dallas" custom shop era

1987-2009 schecter diamond series cool era

2010- xxxx schecter diamond crappy era


is it up to us deciding the xxxx number?we'll see.
