that could be another contest, but this is a tone duplication contest, not a create your own tone contest. We can't really compare tone if we right our own song, because we have no idea how it would sound if the artists' we were trying to duplicate did it. See what I'm saying?

Avenged Sevenfold should be banned, imo. Just cause so many of you have syn guitars and amps with preset sevenfold tones

The only ones that might are Tyler and Sam with Line 6 amps.
My vypyr sure doesn't and Leib's doesn't have presets, way too many dials!

And the guitar really doesn't have much to do with it.
I was at my friends and we were playing through nightmare, picked up his other friends epiphone standard, with my A7x preset I made and it sounded almost the same as with my syn special

technique goes into tone just as much as anything. if you cant pick right then you wont get the sound and yes picking is picking but there are heavy and light pickings and no matter what you say that and how you fret a guitar properly makes all the difference on your tone

What I am saying is there are no effects to try to compare to without the actual pedals and effects the rich artist can afford
