Schecter China/Indonesia Manufacturing discussion!

Yep, so i want to discuss this matter. I got a big

( when i heard they were supposedly starting to make the higher end models in China and Indonesia :frustrated: So, does anyone have pictures of the China/Indonesia HRs or other Schecters made in China? How do you think this will affect the quality...or will it even be affected? If the QC stays as sharp as before i would suspect it stays pretty much the same...BUT I am not really keen on paying a good damn 700€ for something that is manufactured in China or Indonesia. In all honesty...then LTD would offer you a better quality guitar. I have tried the MIK HRs and they were IMO superb.

So, do you think it's safe to buy Hellraiser guitars anymore? I am buying a Black C-7 Hellraiser or Loomis within this week so(2008 model though)...discuss it!

Also, heard that the Schecter Locking Tuners weren't bad...anyone had a try at these?

So, Someone shed some light on this that has experience with this issue.

EDIT: I got a Indonesia made Ibanez. It now has a crack on the binding...just under the 9th fret. Just fucking great if Schecter starts dragging their feet like that too!

If they switch to china and indonesia, I'm done. I'll only buy used korean ones. It's cheaper manufacturing FOR A REASON.

I feel the same way. My C-1 Apocalypse was made in China. Luckily the one I got was built great. The frets are perfect. I've heard there has been problems with some Schecter's in that department. This will be my last Schecter for a long time. Unless there is a killer DCGL/Prototype I have to have. I'm on to my Randall phase now.

Saw anybody MIK 2009 C-1 HRs? Or they (2009) only MIC?

bit unfair , but my MIK lady luck was a hundred times better than my MIC omen 7, the frets, the woods, the tone, the hardware, the finish.

Altho, IMO, made in USA is the way to go.

I think Hellraisers and Blackjacks are the main concern here given their "top of the line" status. As far as I'm concerned, there's no longer a top of the line production model if they're all going to be MIC/MII, but that's a presumption I'm not willing to make yet.

True im nowhere near top of the line but. now at days i guess if imma get top of the pops imma get an '08

Happy reading! I think i've weighed in enough on this issue in the above threads, and my opinions can come off as a bit strong, so i'll refrain from doing so in this discussion for now.

I had a MIC C1-FR (on the back, "china" wasn't even capitalized!). The quality of the wood was subpar compared to the MIK Schecters I own and the FR rattled a lot. I really wish that they would keep building their higher end models like Hellraisers in Korea. I've seen examples of Chinese Hellraisers whose fretboards look absolutely terrible, not something I would even pay half price for.
